Yumi ladieswear - Job spec Maternity cover
We are looking for an experienced designer with the below qualities to cover Maternity leave and cross over. Ideally this designer would be able to shadow the current designer imminently with Travel to China. before the current designer leaves her post. The maternity cover itself (after the overlap period) would commence on June 25th and would last for 6 months. The job is varied and creative with many aspects of design and development- you will help the creative director achieve her ultimate goals in terms of brand identity, from trend and design right through to landing the product for tradeshows and presentations.
Ideal experience needed - we will accept less for the right candidate- 8 to 10 years in the fashion industry
- Creative multi product designer - In ladies wear
- Girls wear experience would be beneficial as you will be organising a team of freelancers in this area
- Experience in product development essential - whist also being a creative designer
- Some experience in Print design would be beneficial
- Experience in leading a small team of designers and freelancers
- The designer needs to be extremely organised and experienced in creating and following their own critical path.
- They will have worked from China or India previously and understand how to work efficiently with a small team of sample and production co-ordinators.
- The designer should be able to think on her feet, come up with strategy's and be a good problem solver.
